Individuals chosen in the January and February 2025 Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) ballots are being reminded to submit their visa applications promptly to avoid missing their 120-day deadline.
The PEV program grants successful applicants the right to live and work in Australia permanently, with access to benefits such as Medicare, public schooling, and subsidized childcare. However, being selected in the ballot does not guarantee a visa—applicants must still formally apply.
Eligible Countries
The PEV ballots in early 2025 included citizens from:
- Fiji
- Nauru
- Papua New Guinea
- Solomon Islands
- Timor-Leste
- Tonga
- Tuvalu
- Vanuatu
- Application Process
Selected applicants must:
Apply online via the link in their Notification of Selection letter or through ImmiAccount.
Submit a completed application form along with copies of their passport and identification for all included family members.
Declare spouses and dependent children at the time of submission, as they cannot be added later.
Supporting documents, such as employment evidence, can be provided after the initial application but should be submitted quickly to avoid processing delays.
Key Reminder
“Selection does not equal approval,” emphasized a spokesperson. “Applicants must meet all requirements, including health and character checks, before a visa is granted.”
For further details, applicants are advised to refer to their official selection notice or visit the Department of Home Affairs website.
