Gandhi Immigration Ltd, based at 101-111 Queen St. E. in Brampton, Ontario, has been convicted for submitting false information in immigration applications. The company was found guilty of making written misrepresentations and providing documents that incorrectly claimed applicants met eligibility requirements under the Ontario Immigration Act.
The offences occurred on October 31, 2022, and March 23, 2023. The conviction was handed down on June 6, 2025, following a guilty plea during a virtual session at the Provincial Offences Court in Toronto. Justice of the Peace Steven M. D’Souza imposed a total fine of $40,000. The court also added a 25 per cent victim fine surcharge, which will go to a government fund that supports victims of crime. Crown Counsel Dan Phelan represented the prosecution.
The case involved two separate applications submitted to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) under the Express Entry Skilled Trades stream. In both cases, Gandhi Immigration Ltd was paid for its services and represented the applicants through its director, who was a licensed immigration consultant in good standing at the time.
However, the director altered job letters provided by the applicants, adding false job duties to make the applicants appear qualified under OINP requirements. Both applications were ultimately rejected by the program.
The company was fined $20,000 for each offence.
